Japanese traditional entertainment "Kabuki" performed in "Kabukiza" is a stage art which has been performed since the 17th century.The meaning of the word "Kabuki" is song (KA), dance (BU) and skill (KI). One could say, it is a musical peculiar to Japan and it's a traditional performing art of Japan.

All Kabuki actors are male so the female roles are played by male actors called "onnnagata". Their make-up and costumes are very stunning.The music, dance and costumes are very beautiful and unique.

The Kabuki stage has various devices like moving scenery which pleases people.
"Kabuki" is full of traditional Japanese culture and has charmed many people.
